Installation process

Assessment and quote
We confirm your vehicle, supply type and switchboard, usually from photos, for a fixed quote.

Circuit design
Cable size and protection are set by the charger's current, cable length and installation method.

Installation day
The charger is mounted and wired, with a brief supply isolation for the final connection.

Testing and handover
Full electrical testing is completed, then we run a live charge and set up your schedule.

Home EV Charger Installation questions
7kW or 22kW — which should I install?
Whichever matches your car's onboard AC charger. Three phase is worth it if you have the supply, high daily kilometres, or a second EV coming.
Can the charger go outside?
Yes, our chargers are rated for outdoor use. We still avoid direct afternoon sun and driving rain where possible.
Do I need to be home during the installation?
Someone over 18 needs to give access to the switchboard and be walked through the charger at handover. You don't need to supervise the work.
Will the power be off during the work?
The supply is isolated for 30–60 minutes while the new circuit is connected and tested. We'll let you know beforehand.
What paperwork do I receive?
A Certificate of Testing and Compliance, manufacturer warranty documentation and the installation test results.
